We are the Okanagan Chapter of the national Families With Children From Africa community, a network of African/Canadian families blended through adoption.
In the Okanagan, we have families with children from Ethiopia, Ghana and Swaziland, as well as Ethiopian families and children from the US and Canada.
Families with Children from Africa strives to:

provide a peer resource for African-Canadian Blended Families

plan and schedule diverse events that will incorporate African culture into our children’s lives

provide adoption information for those who are beginning the process, as it applies to Canadian families

educate adults and children about African cultures

raise awareness and funds for the orphaned children still in Africa

celebrate the diversity, individuality and beauty of our blended families
